The importance of a healthy breakfast“I wasn’t hungry, “there wasn’t anything for me to eat”, “I always skip breakfast”, “Toast is healthy enough”. Are you one of these people that always makes excuses when it comes to breakfast? Well, its time to change that. Right now.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it fuels your body with the energy and nutrients you need, to be able to last the day and perform to a high standard. Therefore, it is highly important that you have a HEALTHY breakfast, not just cereal or a piece of toast. No, I’m talking about oatmeal shakes, fruit smoothies, oats, you name it! There are countless amounts of healthy breakfast meals out there.
Personally, one of my favourite healthy breakfast meals is the banana and ginger smoothie. Not only is it delicious, but for someone like me who is always busy and doesn’t have much time in the mornings, this smoothie is perfect for everyday on the go. It is quick and easy to make and only has about 4 ingredients, it couldn’t be any easier to eat healthy! Below, is the recipe for the banana and ginger smoothie, check it out!
Banana & Ginger Smoothie
Ingredients:
– 1 banana sliced
– ¾ cup of vanilla yogurt
– 1 Tbsp honey
– ½ tsp freshly grated ginger
Combine all ingredients, mixing and blending until smooth then drink and be fuelled for the rest of your busy day!
